Erasing data

Post by jazzer4 » Fri Jul 26, 2013 8:35 am

I would like to erase old ( not mine and only one months) data from my resmed card.
I also want to get that one month out of my sleepyhead and rescan reports.
I tried to erase it in the
clinical menu but it didn't go away.
Be gentle I'm no computer wiz. LOL
Thanks for any help

I don't know of any way except to start totally fresh.
Reset the therapy data to zero on the machine in the clinical setup.
Reformat the SD card
Start a new user profile in SH

I don't know of any way to selectively delete data from the SD card or SH. Maybe someone knows exactly which files pertain to each data point but that's a lot of searching.
The machine has to simply be reset to zero or otherwise it keeps putting old information on the SD card.

How much of the data is your data on the machine now and in the Software data?

I started using this machine on July 17th not realizing there was a month of data on the card.
So I just continued to download my data, which is fine except that it messes with my "records" in S/H which I rely on.

Also can you tell me how to change S/H from military time to regular time.
Thanks for your time pugsy.

I don't need to keep any pasted files, so I'll do as you said and totally start fresh.
Reformat the Sd card?

Some people have had to reformat the card to get the S9 to accept the SD card but all I ever had to do was a simple go into the SD card and manually delete all the folders and files. I always try the easiest way first and it has always worked for me.

Clock can be changed from military to regular in the clinical set up menu. I don't have my S9 right now to tell you exactly which choice it is but it's close to where you set the actual time.

I have uninstalled S/H two times now and each time my data is still there.
I uninstalled it both times through the control panel.
I'm trying to set up a new profile.

The old data is stored in a MyDocuments folder called SleepyApp...it is untouched by the uninstall so you have to manually remove it to get rid of it..
or just start a new user profile with the newly cleaned card and machine.

Ok, If you want a clean start with SleepyHead, then you'll have to get rid of the information that is located in the Sleepyhead data file. I'll try to walk you through this.

You need to get into your My Documents Folder
Then open the Folder called SleepyHeadData, Then Profiles, You should then see a folder with what ever name you used for your profile. Once you delete that folder, you should be good to go.

Ok I did it and was able to set up a new profile
I also think I have deleted everything on the sd card.
Now I need to go record some data, maybe a nap ( but I'm no tired)?

Watch a TV show or read a book for 30 minutes while using the mask and machine to get some data recorded so you can check to see if everything got removed and starting fresh.

Pugsy I noticed you don't list your S9 VPAP Auto anymore, did it break on you?

Nope. Working great when I sold it a few months back. Someone in need contacted me and was wanting one and couldn't afford new so I wasn't married to it...so it got sold. I will get another one eventually. I have a lead on one but just trying to get my finances in order. Had some unexpected costly repairs to the new "used" boat motor that really hurt my cpap slush fund.
It's a nice machine but for the money difference I am as equally pleased with the PR S1 BiPaps especially now that they have come out with the heated hose and the 760 has Pressure Support that has a minimum and maximum.
The heated hose and the fixed PS was my 2 main things that had me leaning towards the VPAP Auto. Respironics has pretty much eliminated those things with their new 60 series. So I am just as happy with the PR S1 machine.
Working on getting a 760 to go along with my 660. Then I will see if I can find another VPAP Auto somewhere. I have 2 humidifiers for the S9 that need a friend. Anyone want or need a S9 humidifier?

I recently sold my 750 also...so using the 660 right now. I will be honest...I don't miss the bird calls at all that the VPAP had.
You know I never noticed them until someone mentioned it and then of course I heard them every night and was annoyed.
Hubby says that the PR S1 is nearly silent. He could hear the VPAP but says he can't hear the BiPap. I don't hear anything now that the bird calls are gone.

I have always felt that I got equally as good of therapy with either brand.

My wife and I both wear dual hearing aids so when we take them out at night and go to bed it good sound like a combine and we wouldn't hear it. I guess it does have it's advantages but I'd rather have my hearing back. I'm like you I like them both and I rotate between them to put some time on the S1.
