Apria billing department came up with a new wrinkle today for my wife, she still has to use Apria. Apria stated they will not bill my wife's insurance unless her Insurance company first calls Apria and gives Apria authorization to bill them (wife's insurance company). Wife left for an appointment so I called her insurance, person I spoke with had never heard of this. I was put on hold while they called Apria, wife's insurance said Apria will now bill them. This process took one hour on the phone. Wife has had the same insurance for years.
