Re: Oxygen??
I was able to get it to work last night and although I'm going to try it a couple more times, I really didn't see any major desats in the results! I'm wondering since that study was done before my cardiac ablation procedure the arrhythmia's were the culprit and since that is mostly taken care of i'm not having the problem any longer--

Re: Oxygen??
I met with the respiratory therapist from my new DME today Well I got an oxygen concentrator delivered today! Very interesting AND I'm probably getting a new (S9) machine next week! We'll see how I'm starting to feel in a couple of days. I really hope it helps when I really do get to a deep sleep (seldomly) I wake up with crazy nightmares which I'm really getting sick of ha!)

Re: Oxygen??
My hubby uses O2/2L and does well. He had a few episodes of Afib and BP that occasionally went too low so it was prescribed as a precaution and he does well with no further episodes. The 02 tube attaches to the cpap with a small adaptor that goes in between the machine and the hose, we keep it on a thick piece of carpet remnant in a closet with the door ajar and it really makes very little noise. The concentrator doesn't even require changing any filters so all we do is turn it off and on. Good luck.

Re: Oxygen??
I know it's probably trivial, already been thought about, measured and discussed, and found to be unworth concern, but I'm curious: do oxygen concentrators reduce the 02 content of a room fast enough to have a detrimental effect on one's spouse, assuming both are sleeping in the same bed?

Never thought about that one! I wouldn't think so but what do I know??DreamDiver wrote:I know it's probably trivial, already been thought about, measured and discussed, and found to be unworth concern, but I'm curious: do oxygen concentrators reduce the 02 content of a room fast enough to have a detrimental effect on one's spouse, assuming both are sleeping in the same bed?

Stats were better although my heart rate was still all over the place ranging from about 100 down to 40) but it was better. as I said I think time will make a difference. I slept better and NO more nightmares! as least so far!!

Absolutely not.DreamDiver wrote:I know it's probably trivial, already been thought about, measured and discussed, and found to be unworth concern, but I'm curious: do oxygen concentrators reduce the 02 content of a room fast enough to have a detrimental effect on one's spouse, assuming both are sleeping in the same bed?
1) They don't produce enough oxygen to "matter" unless you're sleeping in a tightly sealed phone booth.
2) The total oxygen in the room stays the same any way. The "waste" air from the concentrator may be somewhat depleted in oxygen, but the air you exhale will have extra oxygen in it. The only oxygen that gets "lost" in the process is the oxygen that your body burns and converts to CO2. You'll be burning about the same amount of oxygen whether it comes from the oxygen concentrator or just from the room air.
The only way you'd reduce the oxygen in the room is if the oxygen concentrator was in one bedroom and you ran the hose through the wall into another bedroom. Even then, it doesn't produce enough O2 to seriously affect the room the O2 concentrator is in.

Re: Oxygen??
I just received the cms50e unit. the software that came with the device would not download. However facelake.com, which sold me the unit, sent me a link. download successful...or not.
I followed the instructions here. I followed the slightly different instructions in the sent manual. I get a "device not found" message no matter what. I cannot click the new sessions icon. so I'm stuck at this point.
The device is plugged in with the accompanying cable while still on. Very frustrating.
any help?

I couldn't get it to work on a 64 bit machine. Try a different computer and use their cable.
