Yes sir, I even put in NEW air ducts, new carpet (I kept carpet because of my
lower back/hip problems...walking on the hardwood floors seems to aggravate my back. But now...we may have to go to wood floors.
Anyway, we have whole house hepa air filters, but not the ...what is that
called??? A system you install in conjunction with your duct work.
I checked with out Municipal Utilities Depart. They have "health specials"
once in awhile. They will pay for part of the expenses, but most importantly,
if you have any work done under their name, the contractors really make sure it is done right.
Also, maybe I should make this into a new thread, but are you aware some
utilities companies will give you a discount from your electrical bill if you have
medical equipment you have to run? As high as 35% in one area (mine), but I we have PG&E who gives approx. 30% off. I had to go to their website,
print off a form, get my pulmonary doctor to sign off on it and now I get it
for life. Well, as long as I live here. Someone told me you have to renew
it every few years, but my doctor put me down for "life" on the form.
One of our daughters lives in Tulsa, OK and she said they do not provide it.
It is worth checking on......
That is a big help when you are retired, on a fixed income and now need to
run a filtering system.
Anyway, thanks for the suggestions. I have three large hepa filters in our
system, two major portable hepa air filters and two smaller ones I take on
the road with me. Take care.......Dave
