That is called a senior moment or brain fart. My wife and I were out running errands and we pulled into WalMart and got out of the car and as we were walking in I said what are we here for, neither one of us could remember so we got back into the car and went home. Still don't remember what it was for.

When you wake up in the morning and go to pull the SD card out of your machine and realize you left it in your computer?

When you get to work and reach for your phone and remember it's still on charge at home?

How about taking the TV remote instead of your phone? (I didn't do that, but I know someone who did)

you forget to buy loo paper and you have run out?

Along the same lines...

When your alone (except for the dog) and realize too late that there is no more toilet paper in the house and you were the insensitive one who did not restock it, so you must do the funny walk to the kitchen for paper towels (much to the amusement of the dog with the cold nose)

One time a cop pulled me over for running a stop sign. He said, "Didn't you see the stop sign?" I said, "Yeah, but I don't believe everything I read." -- Steven Wright

When you put something up in a safe place where you won't lose it and can't remember where you put it.

When you're painting the outside of the house, and the forecast is "20% Chance of Thunderstorm". Now, if the cell hits, it's going to be wicked, but when will it hit? Will 8 hours be enough time for the paint to dry? Will the rain be straight down or come from a particular direction? And if so, can you paint the opposite side of the house from the wind direction? If the lightning starts, would it be a good time to change to the fiberglass ladder or roll the dice with aluminum (I really like the stability of a big ol' aluminum)?

You head out to work thinking that you have everything that you need, and you either forget the keys for your office or in my case your ID card so you can log on to your computer and then you have to go back for them.

Or you disassemble your guns and store the assemblies in different places, ( For Safety ) then can't find all the parts to reassemble then later. Been over two years now only, I've only managed to rebuild one. The good news it's my favorite, Walther PPK ( James Bond ). Some day someone will be supprised to find them, I hope its me! Jim

And then your kids get it, too.
We had to drive halfway across town to let our 43 year old son back into his car.
The keys were lying right on the passenger seat!

Go looking for my glasses for an hour until I finally find them tucked into the front of my shirt!
