Switching girlfriends didn't solve the problem, huh?

Never worked for any of my problems, either ...
Always seems like a good idea at the time... LOL

I can tell you from experience that you will want to throw the mask and the machine across the room or probably out the window. Do not do it! Stick with it. I can tell you for sur that Sleep Apnea is a killer and you have just saved your own life. Good luck and the next best thing you have done is to join this forum there are a lot of great people here and there is wealth of information to be had here. Do not be afraid to ask a question the only stupid question is the question that is not asked.
Fortunately I seem to be tolerating it fairly easily, no urge to break out a hammer or anything. Probably partially because my geeky nature includes a love of gadgets, and that's kind of how I see my CPAP (not meant to understate the importance of the device, of course). It also helps that I saw an immediate drastic improvement on how I felt. The only problem I'm having so far is that it takes me a little longer to get to sleep initially, but that should pass once the newness wears off. I did have bad mask lines the first morning, but I apparently was a little over-zealous in tightening the gear. Probably a common rookie move.

No worries there, I always have a metric ton of salt in reserve when I'm on any forum, or the internet in general for that matter.

Welcome to the forum! Work all your issues here. Finding a comfortable mask that doesn't leak is the key to successful therapy. I ran my wife outta' the bedroom, but after starting therapy, she's moved back in. When she wants to smooch me, she'll just smooch the mask! Gotta love it!

Thanks.

Hoping to get the gf back into the master bedroom as well, time will tell, heh. I can definitely see how the mask can make a massive difference. I actually went with a different mask than what my Dr. put on the prescription. Browsed around on cpap.com and wound up settling on the PR Wisp as my first mask, which I was going to order from there but my DME carried it as well and I was already there to get the cellular modem installed anyway (My CPAP was gifted to me by a friend who gave up on it after a month). Seems pretty comfy and doesn't leak as long as I don't roll over on my side and push the side of it against the pillow in my sleep.
