That machine has no value, unless the American Museum of xPAP History is looking for one.

It's three major versions old, and is missing even the most basic of comfort features. And, the
pressure must be set manually using a manometer.

Not really. They were rather "low-profile". Here's some specs from the catalog (dated 2001) for it.

I guess that it's a testament for ResMed that an ancient S6 is still in working order, tho it probably has little value in today's world.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Works like new and looks like new. May not be the newest model but for someone with limited funds?

My first machine was a Sullivan V. That's what became Resmed. When I gave it away it had 35,000 hours on it and was running just fine. The "skin" had worn off over the buttons, but other than that it was a great machine.

Here's what it looked like.

The "S" in ResMed's series numbers (S7, S8, S9) stands for Sullivan.

It's great that some of these old machines still run, but can a 10 year old machine, even with low hours, be worth anything, even $50? I don't have the answer, just wondering...

Secondwind sells straight CPAPs, no humidifier, no choice of brand, possibly high hours, no warranty for $75.

I don't think that they are older than ResMed S7s or Respironics tanks.

How about donating it to somebody that has OSA and is living in a homeless shelter or living in a state hospital for the infirm. Just a suggestion, It's entirely your decision, plus I don't know your financial circumstances and won't presume to judge your reasons for needing, at best, an extra fifty dollars.

Also: JeffH. That great to learn that about ResMed. Interesting trivia.
