I've had the Fitbit for about a year myself. I have the FitBit Ultra, which I don't think they sell anymore. It is similar to the FitBit One. While the unit itself is not cheap, it comes with a really good web site where you can also track weight, measurements, food intake, etc. I had looked closely at another brand, but access to their web site was $50/year. The FitBit is cheaper, if you value the data on the web site. Also, they do have apps for phones which are helpful for adding meal entries on the go.

So they give you everything you need, even if your computer is not wireless..
Wonderful! I think you just made a FitBit sale

Thanks!
WAIT!! I'm going to call customer service to make sure the fitbit one is the tracker that fits into the the flex wristband. . .I just found some differences in tracking and I'm not sure they are the same tracker.
I apologize!! Sending you a pm too.

I just found some information that looks like the fitbit one is not the same tracker as the flex that goes into the flex wristband.

http://www.fitbit.com/flex/specs

http://www.fitbit.com/comparison/trackers

https://help.fitbit.com/customer/portal ... or-a-flex-

If you cannot see or read these links, let me know and I will send you copies of them.

Only if my FitBit Ultra breaks. The Fitbit Ultra came with a wrist band to hold the Ultra. I think the FitBit One has its own wristband too.
