Has anyone tried the RespireAide as cpap alternative ?
And how is your success with this device?
Below is website URL
Harry Cutler has developed a non-surgical tongue advancement device that can be adapted for labratory. He is currently pursuing FDA approval to market both OTC and medically prescribed versions. This device also has an adjustable palate lifter as a feature.
This oral appliance may be a new class of apnea treatment devices that control the tongue and soft palate to maintain an airway.

I am bumping this to see if anyone has tried it. It looks interesting and very different.

The things people will buy/do/believe to avoid wearing a mask.
Nasal pillows are way less invasive than this.
Just looking at the pictures makes me queasy.

Don't send me one. I'd rather have roses.

I have used a cpap machine for 11 years now BUT I would still like to hear from someone who has used this item -if anyone has. It COULD be a good thing for those who simply cannot tolerate cpap or for extended power outages. It MIGHT be a good travel alternative or for a hospital stay.

People just keep giving their opinion of this device. The original poster asked for thoughts from people WHO HAVE ACTUALLY USED IT.
That's what I would like to hear about as well. I realize this is cpap forum but some here have tried other things - maybe this.
Myself, and the OP just want to hear from anyone who may have tried this. Their thoughts are what we want - not speculation about what people think of it or what it might be like.

Op could alter the title to "RespireAide: user input, please"
Then it might attract some actual users, if there are any here.

I think the OP was very clear about what they were looking for. Responders took the thread in another direction.

He is currently pursuing FDA approval to market both OTC and medically prescribed versions.
This should tell you why there are no users responding.

jdm2857 - you know well that there is no such rule. I know you are being sarcastic but I just tried to bring this thread back to the topic and I am sorry that people feel defensive when I try to do that but I want user information - if there is any - about this item.
Ah the joys of internet forums!!
