I mentioned it to him and he gave me a dirty snotty look like I wasn't supposed to know about POPE I or POPE II

After talking with the pediatrician and they getting the information from the ENT they don't want to push surgery either. DD has hypotonia also which is floppy muscles and not good muscle tone. They said with this that there's a chance THAT is actually why her airway is collapsing.

Supposed to talk to the pulmo tomorrow about CPAP and such

Can you grab a hold of the long report? I really think you need to take a close at the O2 saturation and ETCO2 levels. She may be a more appropriate candidate for BiPAP instead of CPAP, and they should have a real low threshold of going to that modality.

Also, start researching about interfaces (masks) REAL early. The kid selection is very poor.

Also2, a hefty dose of desensitization may be quite helpful in getting through titration (if that's the way you decide to go).

Are you insulting me? Is it an "insult" if the person doesn't even understand it?

I have a recommendation in this department: the Resmed Micro.

I'm told kids tend to do better than adults with CPAP (and mine did do well with wires + CPAP). She's been on CPAP before, right? Was she too young to remember?

So between the two Big Companies you got maybe 5 choices:

http://www.healthcare.philips.com/us_en ... /index.wpd

How big is the DD?

Yes! He did seem to know what he was talking about, he was just an ass lol

I will definitely get a copy of her long report! Right now we're doing lots of call arounds. The ENT didn't fax the pediatricians office the stuff yesterday so I'm on the phone trying to get them to do it lol

So far I have been researching and I like the look of the Resmed Micro

Thank you! The micro is the one I've been looking at.

DD wasn't on cpap before but she was on a high flow open nasal cannula. The air she got with that was heated and humidified. I don't think she'll remember it though because she was a lot smaller at that time.

She's a very small girl. She's 7 1/2 and about the size of most normal 5 year olds. She's got a little nose too

This would be a good time for a tiny size Wisp.

The pixie is tiny. It's appropriate for a toddler. We tried it.

Can I ask how big your son was when you tried it? Even just guesses? That will give me more of an idea for my daughter
