Wulfman, I went to climate control and my options were patient, auto or manual...I changed to all off them but could not find where how to change the temp. It all stayed cold.

We really don't know what specific machine model you have, other than you said you have a "resmed s9 series"......or whether you're actually getting into the "Setup/Clinical settings" or not.

It would probably help considerably if you would register as a user on the forum and select the exact equipment......then start a separate thread of your own, rather than using this one.

Does that confirm that he/she was actually in the clinical menu?
And, if so, why could he/she not see the temperature settings?
I've got the clinician's manual, but have never actually had my hands on one of those machines.

yes, some of the clinical menu settings are like that, on/off/patient, ie, they're on, they're off, or you present the option on the patient menu, and let the patient set it.

iirc (I don't have a heated hose) clinical has to be on manual or patient, and if on patient, then the patient menu has to be on manual, for the two settings to show up.
(according to the manual:)
you get one setting of temp/humid if you have the humidifier, climateline and climate control is set to auto,
you get separate temp and humid if you have humidifier, climateline and climate control is set to manual.

I didn't know there were so many models out there...does auto set elite help? H5i for heated humidifier. My manual shows how to change humidity, but not temp. Thanks.

The temperature option only appears when the Climateline heated hose is plugged in.
In Auto mode, the humidity defaults at 80%, and you set the temperature.

Autoset and Elete are two very different models. You likely have one or the other.

The model name is listed/printed/embossed above the start/stop button.
As stated, Autoset and Elite are two different models.......the Autoset is capable of a range of pressures and the Elite is a fixed pressure machine.
