First here's some pics
I did not have enough events to warrant a split study (you have to have 50+ for that in our lab)
However after a night of barely sleeping and not leaving that light sleep stage I was surprised when I was woken up this morning by the tech who then told me 'Well I didn't do the CPAP on you but you definitely had a few events!' so while she unhooked me I was chatting with her about it and she said 5 of the times I woke up during the night were event related.
She went on to say there's a chance that after the doctors reviewed everything I might end up back there for CPAP titration.
So.... I might have apnea lol
Now the waiting game

I'll be interested in what the diagnoses the doctor gives you. Did they say what you O2 level was? Your picture reminded me of my sleep study... All those wires... Keep us updated!

I'm very interested too! I wasn't told what my 02 level was but when I told her I had a headache she goes 'Well that's not surprising' LOL not sure what that meant but ok XD

I had to go in 2 different times for mine. Is this about the same as your daughter's went? I feel bad for you that there is more waiting. I hate waiting.

I didn't meet split study night criteria either. Had to go back for a second night myself.
My problem was that my OSA is much worse in REM sleep and by the time I got to REM sleep of any duration there wasn't enough time left to do any titration study. My oxygen level plummeted though but that wasn't part of the criteria needed to start cpap.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

My daughter slept a lot better than I did lol
More waiting sucks but at least they get the results to you pretty quickly around here

I just hope I slept enough to give them a diagnosis. I didn't drop into deeper sleep most of the night from what I was told. So I am worried a bit.
I also have worries because insurance will not cover CPAP under any circumstances unless you have an AHI of 15+ an hour

My husband has calmed my nerves a bit. He said he doesn't think a sleep tech who'd I'd talked in depth with about my issues would tell me I had events unless they actually meant something.
She's a Respiratory Therapist too so I can see his line of thought.

During my sleep test I don't ever remember falling asleep... remember checking my watch at 1, 2, 3:30... wondering when the heck is this going to end?
Don't think their software/equip needs much time to know if there is a problem.
Hang in there!

What's really weird is I spent half the night in this weird half sleep/half awake stage. Like I could remember the stuff in my nose, turning over but I didn't feel awake. The nurse said that was my light sleep phase. It was so bizarre

I had to go back for a second too. First study was fine so i thought the second would be too. All those wires and a cpap! Ugh. Best of luck to you.

I had to return for CPAP titration, too. In my case, my OSA was severe so they got me an auto CPAP to begin treatment while waiting. By the time of my titration study, I already knew my pressure needs haha!

Hey Sleepy, I have to go back for a third study, because I didn't reach Rem sleep in the second one when they were sorting out my pressure level. As far as I know we don't even have split studies in Australia

Thank you! I hope by the second study if I need it that I will be more used to sleeping there since I've done it once lol
