Friend died in sleep, was heart attack due to Sleep Apnea?

We have a couple at church we have know for 11 years. She she has been in assisted living for a year and he came by every day to have lunch with her. A month ago he did not come by and they found he had died in his sleep. Can a coroner diagnosis the cause of death related to sleep apnea causing a heart attack? He was apparently healthy. I did not know him well enough to know of any previous heart conditions. Do death certificates list sleep apnea as the cause or just a heart attack?

More than likely heart attack; but if he had been diagnosed with apnea;
and had not been treated, it may be mentioned; although as a cause, I don't know.

There is no way for a doctor or the coroner to determine if the death was from OSA. All they can tell is that the heart was to blame. Whether OSA caused the heart problem or not is a different story.
