My hubby still snores, he is wearing the Amara FF mask, using same machine as mine (PR S1 560), APAP pressure 7-16 and I thought since he was wearing FF mask, this was OK. Am I wrong? He doesn't have any visible leaks (I have looked), but just seems to be snoring with the mask on. I love the sound he makes (sounds like a cat purring), so I just ignored it but after hearing this about your hubby thinking you are snoring Madalot, I'm concerned.
Pugsy, if you read this, any comment?

I woulduse the software to figure a pressure for him closer to what he requires, a range of 3 or 4 cm allows the machine to respond faster to his needs. I'd use the 95% pressure as a guide 2 cm under the 95 % and 1 cm over it, a spread of 4 cm or closer. Jim
Loose tissue can cause snoring sounds, that can be ignored, I use xpap to keep breathing, not to cure snoring.

When I didn't inhale and it pushed that 18cm, it blew out the seal at my cheek and I'll be damned if it didn't sound like a snore.
This makes sense. If I inhale on schedule, I take that air in. If I don't inhale, there's a lot of pressure inside that mask and depending on my position, it blows part of the seal.
Since I NEVER have 100% PTB, it seems logical that's what was happening when my husband woke me up thinking I was snoring. I didn't breathe on my own, Trilogy pushed and my mask couldn't handle it.
What DOES make me wonder is why, all of a sudden, is this happening? The Trilogy has pushed these high pressures before. Still need to work on it, but at least I am pretty sure WHAT is happening.
Hmmm...just a couple of thoughts but how long have you had this mask? Could the headgear be losing some of it's oomph (as it were *smile*)? I don't have that mask, so I don't know what might be getting looser or less elastic with age, but that's what comes to mind immediately. Also don't know if there's anything from Pad A Cheek that might help the seal on that mask...

I thought about this as well. I don't keep very good track of how long I've used a mask. Thinking hard, it's possible it's been over 3-4 months. If this persists, a new mask is a good place to start. But, it's only been a short time since I increased my MIN IPAP to 18 and wonder if that is a part of the problem too.

Looking in the bright side...
Mask farts are noisy but not smelly.
Higher pressure and an older mask seem to suggest that a new mask may help.
SpO2 96+% and holding...

What's weird is it truly sounds more like a snore, which is why hubby said I was snoring.
Maybe I'll get a new mask out tonight and see if that helps. I just HATE getting the headgear adjusted for the first time. That's one reason I don't get a new mask until I absolutely have to.

My cpap was broken so I was snoring also. There was almost no pressure. This is a while ago. I got a new machine and can't stand the pressure now with all leaks and sore nose and face.
