It is much cheaper that cigarettes. I never bought clove liquid but I am sure it must be out there.

Two cancers in one lung and one in the second. Thankfully caught extremely early and no spread to the lymph nodes. But who knows if or when it will come back.

Anything you can do to stop smoking, smoking anything, do it. Its just not worth it. Not to mention it ruins your house and no one will want to buy it. It is going to cost me thousands in repainting and cleaning to fix their house to marketable condition. We have a rental ozone machine running for the next few days in the house and no guarantee that will even be enough to work.

Quit while you still can.
My 85 yo mother a life long smoker as well. I did from age 15 to 35 (3 packs a day of both regulars and menthol) so I understand the problem. We moved mom out of her house last spring and it cost us $8000 in smoking related repairs before we could sell the place. Mom was forced to quit smoking due to being hospitalized and in assisted living (and now nursing home) and we can trace most of her problems back to smoking. How she hasn't gotten lung cancer is beyond me.

Good luck getting off smokes, RG, you are worth it.

Congrats to everyone who is attempting to stop smoking. My mom smoked for years and finally died from lung cancer at 52! I found it to be such a nasty habit; fortunately I never started.

A friend was a long-time smoker, had a major heart attack and then stopped smoking. Now, 12 years later, his lungs don't show a hint of ever smoking... so say his doctors. Point to that... it can be done.

It's hard for me to fathom how one could consistently and successfully use a machine... and then continue smoking. Counter-productive beyond I would think.
If only the folks with sawdust for brains were as sweet and obliging and innocent as The Scarecrow! ~a friend~

Well, it wasn't until I got severe pneumonia and had respiratory failure and was in the ICU for 5 days on a BiPAP & Hi-Flow 02 that I really committed myself to not starting smoking again. I smoked my last cigarette the night of 1/30/13. I woke up in 1/31/13 with blue fingers and a Sa02 of 50%. I actually needed to get THAT sick before I quit. Despite seeing my mother on 02 and repeated hospitalizations with COPD. Addictions are crazy hard to deal with. I think if my OSA had been diagnosed without that experience, I might have continued to smoke as I could have easily rationalized that one had nothing to do with the other.

It sounds like this just might work; at least for more people than the other methods have.

Thanks for the link, frog! I have mixed feelings about the clinical trials. The manufacturers are careful to state that they are NOT selling these as aids to quit smoking because if they DID sell them as smoking cessation aids, they would be regulated by the FDA. I prefer to keep the FDA out of it!
