I have a stuffy nose due to the flu and I also use the swift FX. Oh dear, dont we have a problem tonight

I have experienced same problem. But it doesn't usually happen.
When it happens, I just sleep without the machine. Because I was told by Resmed that APAP may cause CSA.

beylow, you should still use your machine !! ... Yes, an APAP can cause centrals. But the centrals that most people have before falling asleep are fairly normal and a result of the body shifting the mechanism to determine when to breathe. When we are asleep the body monitors some chemorecptors that measure the amount of acidity in the blood (an indication of the buildup of CO2). While awake different controls (including voluntary control) are in place. During this shift, central apneas can occur. It's pretty normal. If those central apneas cause SEVERE oxygen depletion, then they need to be addressed with an ASV unit. But you should ALWAYS use your CPAP unit, if you have been prescribed one.

I take klonopin and it helps my sleep apnea a lot, not every night- I also have this PLMD twitching while falling asleep. maybe it doesn't work for everyone but for me it does
