mischief cat and gray filter sponge

Post by sherri walter » Thu May 02, 2013 12:55 pm

Just wanted to know if anyone out there has ever had a problem with there precious cat that just loves to get his paw in back of cpap machine to get the gray filter and then run off with it to have a field day. LOL, if so we have come up with a solution for it, we have built what we call a cage that cannot be gotten into by your precious one.

I shouldn't type this out loud, but my two cats have shown no interest in my CPAP equipment. None.

However, in a failed lab rat attempt, I cut the rubber connector off of a defunct hose. The cats found it and
batted it around the room for days. BTW, what the connector wouldn't do, a short length of 3/4" vinyl tubing
did.

jdm, methinks this is another commercial post worthy of the SPAM button. A real forum member, even a new one, would have shared whatever their great idea was.

Where's the commercial aspect to the original post?

I wonder what kind of machine the OP has.
My Autoset has a nice snap-in cover that (I hope) is reasonably kitty proof, but my Intellipap's filter is open to the world.
I can see putting a plastic crate (whole or labratted) around the back, if need be.
Maybe hubby could 3D print a nifty little filter cover (so far he has yet to print anything I can use.)
If he does, we will be sure to upload the file to anyone who needs it.

Now that I think of it I'm amazed my cat has never done this. The filter on my old respironics is just sitting there waiting for a delicate cat claw to hook it out. And it's exactly the size and shape she finds irresistable. Perhaps I don't clean it enough for her liking. I'll make sure she's not watching anytime I take it out to change or clean from now on.

We had an Aby (Peanut) who occupied himself quite happily hooking threads out of the drapery fabric
and making loops--one strand at a time. The drapes looked terrible; but the cat was so serene.

to kaiasgram, this is not a commerical spam,i was at work and did not have time to go into how to make, but if you really would like to know i would love to tell you. Sad to think that people always seem to think the worse before getting all the facts.
