Post by DannyPh » Wed Apr 24, 2013 10:41 am

For Current S9 autoset users. Has anyone ever used the Disposable Hypo Allergenic Filters with the S9 Auto set / I just ordered them off of E bay and will give them a try until I am eligible for my next DME shipment.

Yes, I have used them both from EBay seller who sells name brand and cpap.com who sells aftermarket brand. I am hard pressed to tell the difference.

I use the ResMed brand hypo-allergenic filters.

When you compare them side by side to the generic filters some vendors sell, I can tell the difference. The ResMed brand filters are of a better quality.

Since Medicare & my BC/BS Supplement will pay the exact same amount for either, I always insist on getting only the ResMed brand filters.

In fact, I ordered 6 of them (a 3 month's supply) just yesterday from my DME.
Should get them in the mail in a couple of days.

I have only tried the ones from our host; love them!
Once on Medicare, I will specify the hypoallergenic.

I popped a hypoallergenic in as soon as the pollen started kicking up (ResMed). I do a saline rinse every night too. That along with the ClimateLine heated hose and humidifier have my nasal passages pretty clear. They haven't been this happy in pollen season for years!
