Bad belly gas...aerophagia even at lower pressures is considered "failure" for normal cpap/apap machines if the doctor will word it right...Even for Medicare.
Purple's doctor wasn't real helpful in his/her situation and the DME was even less helpful. Slipped through the cracks unfortunately.
But sometimes we have to jump through hoops to get what we want or need if we want insurance to foot the bill.

Took me six weeks of fighting my DME to get my machine swapped out to an Auto BiPAP machine.
