Wipes are used by those of us who don't want to break down & do a complete wash every day, just wipe it off between cleanings. I'm a really bad cleaner & use wipes only on my stuff & because my hubby's is a FF mask, I was his every couple of weeks. Mine I just use wipes.

I started using wipes when I discovered the full wash was accelerating replacement.
Small wonder Re$med and the DME recommended it.

I've been using them, because if I have to take the cushion off every morning to wash before work, it ain't happening. I can do this in the morning pretty easily. Then it gets done, vs just sitting on the end of the hose with my face oil on it.
Much better deal paying 2.50 from a drugstore than 14.99 for the same freaking thing they sell at the dme.

No, you don't really need the wipes.Kitatonic wrote:Remind me again, why do you need wipes?
I just use a Free & Clear dish soap to clean the mask daily and periodically the tube & headgear. Should I use a wipe to dust off the machine and long hose? I've just been using a clean damp paper towel occasionally.
The wipes come in very handy when people use masks that have more parts and PITA to take the cushions out to wash them every day. Wipes save time.
I don't use the wipes. Never have. Nasal pillows are easy to wash anyway and not big deal to take off and put back on.

Definitely if I had a FFM,I would opt for wipes.
Cf, I do notice my pillows only last 2-3 weeks. But my husband's cushion routine is the same as mine, and he gets so many months, that I insist on changing his yellowed nasal cushion. So what wipe do you use?

Another option for those DIYers is to make your own wet wipes. Buy dry wipes and moisten them with your favorite water based cleaning concoction. Do a web search for something like DIY Citrus Cleaner for a bajillion recipes in 0.02 seconds. Simply using diluted lemon juice makes a very mild cleaner but good enough to remove facial oil from silicone.

Whatever is unscented, and cheap. (I like the Target Up&Up brand)
I think the cheapest ones are less likely to have an excess of aloe, so I'm not all that fussy.
