Is your night guard custom-fit to you? I hope that doesn't happen with the Tap Pap, and since its a mold of my own teeth, I don't really understand how it could do that, other than maybe if I slept in such a way that the mask put steady pressure on the splint to cause things to shift.

Yes, my night guard is custom-made by the dentist ($600), looks like an Invisalign brace. Only after more than five years of nightly use, did my bite change, and the dentist had to reconfigure a few crowns. I never noticed any problems. But if the jaw is moved backwards as in my case, I wondering if this contributed to worsening the apnea's severity. This is just a cautionary tale as to wearing a night guard for years.

I just got new head gear for my Swift FX and removed the Velcro portion from my old head gear...it was in the same position for so long, the area under the Velcro was bright blue! loose is good

Several years ago I used a self-moldable teeth grinding prevention mouthpiece for a year. It was great for about six months then my front teeth started to hurt and no amount of adjustment could make it better. My teeth are bit misaligned in the front, so my experience would probably not be the case for most people, however I had to leave it behind. BTW, My teeth grinded stopped when I went on CPAP... a sweet bonus.

You need to try the new Resmed P10 it is light and very efficient

I bought the Tap Pap system, molded it to my teeth and had my dentist approve it. However, using it was a different story! The pillows did not reach my nose despite adjustments as directed by the company. Evidently I was the second person who had this problem and could not use Tap Pap. I then switch from my Swift Fox to the Pilairo and am pleased.
