Tap Pap and Cpap pro mask

Wondering what the differences are and has anyone tried both? Reviews of Cpap pro are old and the material has changed since. The reason I ask is Apria says they can get the Cpap pro but not the Tap Pap. Probably will try the swift fx if no good comments on Cpap pro mask.

Apria can get whatever mask they want, if they wanted to. The Tap Pap is very new, so it could be that its not in their list of masks, or some such thing. Heck, if they really wanted to show some customer service, they could buy the darn thing from cpap.com, and re-sell it to you. That probably won't happen though, not with the things I've read about Apria.

I have Apria as a provider as well, but I'll admit to not having dealt with them since the machine, though they have been helpful to me. I've bought filters online and the Tap Pap via cpap.com.

I love the Tap Pap. My leak rate is below 5. My AHI is the same or slightly better than with the Swift FX. My cheeks are experiencing freedom again, and I spend zero time in adusting the mask during the night, or adjusting my head at the end of the pillow.

Night and day, unless the CPAP PRO has changed a LOT. I tried the CPAP PRO years ago. Issues:

• Boil and bite mask was NOT easy at all
• Boil and bite NOT adjustable for jaw dimensions
• Nasal part had to adjust and hard to get to stay in place (I tried a LOT of foce)
• Boil and bite part didn't stay in place unless I trained myself to clamp down on it, and even then it was hard.
• Related to last item, hose tended to pull it out of alignment with nose and/or teeth

Somehow the Tap Pap has solved all of these problems. However, I'm not ready to give a 100% endorsement to Tap Pap yet. I've got one problem to work out: It's hurting my teeth. I don't have the best bite ... it's a reasonable overbite. The boil and bite part forms really well. But so far because of the overbite I have problems the second night on. I have an idea I'm going to try tonight to make room for the front teeth (where it hurts) ... they're not part of the way this mask holds on anyway...

Funny that neither covers the hard palate.
I remember how well my retainer gripped.
I often had to blow air into it.
My TP arrived yesterday; still got to do the cook, dip, and bite thing.
OMG! I ordered it on Thursday, it arrives on Saturday--awesome!

If it covered the hard plate you would not be able to adjust the width. Only a custom made-for-you appliance can do that and fit well, I think.
