Profile Machine Name Does Not Appear In Posts

Post by jdm2857 » Tue Mar 19, 2013 8:38 pm

I has been pointed out to me (by Den) that my machine does not appear in the equipment listing at the end of my posts.

I checked my profile and indeed "S8 AutoSet II" is set. I changed it to another machine and then changed it back to see
if that would correct things. It did not.

I then perused (did I say perused?) the board and see that many users have both a mask and a humidifier listed at the end
of their posts. It seems strange that one would put those items into one's profile and not set a machine.

So it seems that there is some type of problem with the board. It's been suggested (by STL Mark) that the CPAP aliens may be the cause.

Any other suggestions?

Well... try setting ot to a common machine.. like the s9 autoset and see if it shows up. My s9 vpap adapt doesn't. Seems if its a machine that cpap.com doesn't sell it don't show up. Not sure if it only applies to ones they have never sold... or if this includes they no longer sell.

You may have to do like me and just type it in the additional comments line.

That could well be, but it shouldn't. Older machines should appear.

And 5 years ago the S8 AutoSet II was as popular as the S9 AutoSet is now.

Some links are broken. We don't know why. Even the PR S1 Pro 450 model won't show up.

Thanks, Pugsy.

I put the machine in the comments field.

Is Tran still around?

I didn't know the tech guy's name.
Couple of Sunday's ago the forum was down for about 4 or 5 hours and when it came up everyone's equipment profile was MIA for a day or so then they showed back up.
This has happened before and it seems like every time it happens a few more of the old equipment links get broken.
May be a coincidence though.

The equipment list is of course tied to whatever cpap.com has either sold in the past or sells now. For a long time we didn't have a problem with products that were discontinued but seems like now the links to discontinued products are broken. Not all of them yet but it's getting close.
