A Rather Unique Approach To Stopping Eye Leaks
Re: A Rather Unique Approach To Stopping Eye Leaks
Isn't this mask far enough from the eyes to not blow air into them? If yes, then the dry eyes could be from other causes such as allergies, aging, contact-lens use, LASIK surgery, diabetes, and various other diseases .

David, I hope you know that if your mask is leaking above normal limits, then your AHI data might be unreliable?dlanbro wrote:I ordered the mask liner from Pad a Cheek and it didn't make my mask fit much better according to the machine. To be honest Karen doesn't say that the liner is a leak stopper, it's just for comfort and my mask has been more comfortable. I've now ordered a polymer cushion and am waiting for it to come in. I hope that it works out. I've quit "listening" to my machine as far as the mask fit. I just want low AHI reports and feeling like I've gotten a great night's sleep. That's a draw back from finally going on therapy after more than 20 years of being stubborn, now that I know what a great night's sleep is, I'm addicted.

Re: A Rather Unique Approach To Stopping Eye Leaks
I had to give up on the Mirage Quattro for now. I've been using the Mirage Liberty since April 20th and have no leaking into my eyes. The mask itself is very comfortable. Have had a few leaks around the mouth area but when I sleep on my side, the pillow helps to control them. I did have to have my pressure lowered from 15 to 13 using the nose pillows. Reason: it was to much for my head and back of my eyes with the higher pressure. My AHI is doing well with the lower pressure so far. I hope to never have to use the traditional full face mask again...fingers crossed

Re: A Rather Unique Approach To Stopping Eye Leaks
My best results have been with a cheap teen size swim goggle.
I use a hole punch to make a little hole in the silicone at the upper outside corner of each eye cup,
to eliminate excess suction on my eyes. (I only want to stop the air stream coming from below.)
