I have a Respironics series M apap machine and the F&P HC 100/150 stand alone humidifier with the 325 water chamber. I am interested in using the Inline plastic bacteria filter made by Respironics.
On cpap dot com is says that if you have a humidifier you connect one end of the plastic filter chamber to the humidifier and the other end to the hose.
Does anyone know if the circumference of the plastic ln line bacteria filter fits on one of the openings of the water chamber without interfering with the second opening on the water chamber?
thank you
does the inline bacteriafilter work on F&P humidifier
Re: does the inline bacteriafilter work on F&P humidifier
Looking at the picture of the filter, it appears to be about three times as wide at the hose connector. Looks like it will easily fit on the F&P humidifier.
Worst case, you could attach a 1' humidifier hose to the humidifier, then a swivel coupling, the bacteria filter, and finally the long hose. The swivel coupler allows you to connect the female coupling of the short hose to the female coupling of the filter inlet. The extra parts are available on cpap.com, but I really don't think that you'll need them.

In my experience at our facility...we use REspironic cpap, humidifier and pass-over type....and the connections are made the same for all attachments. Sometimes I have to turn the bacteria filter 180 degress to find the right fit.

I think those filters are intended for one or two nights use and then need to be discarded. It stays wet and would probably be a good place for mold and bacteria to grow if you use it for longer than that. It's for things like sleep labs with multiple patients using the same CPAP machine.
