AIEOMED HEADGEAR Now Available as Invacare Twilight NP

Post by MarylandCPAPer » Tue Mar 05, 2013 12:27 am

For those of you who have used the AIEOMed Headgear, does this look the same to you?
http://www.phc-online.com/CPAP_Headgear ... ght-np.htm

My DME suggested it as a replacement for my Breeze nasal pillows mask, which they say is not being made anymore because the Breeze manufacturer went out of business.

They said they can get the Invacare Twilight Nasal Pillows mask and supplies. They found an AIEOMed Headgear on the shelves and said it had been there a long time. I went and got it today. Even though it was sealed in plastic, it smells like a musty basement and I am trying to figure how to clean it so the musty smell goes away.

Throughout my years on here, that mask has been "reborn" under the names Twilight, Headrest, and Aura - to the best of my memory. My last one is held together by bubble gum (well, tape) and I know the day is coming soon when it will be irrepairable. It is several years old and I'm surprised the cushions still seal. The last I remembered was the item being unavailable once the stock ran out. That was per a discussion on here a few years ago. If this is still on the market, I'd like to know. The link above says the item is discontinued.

I may be wrong, but make sure you didn't get stuck with an old mask that you may or may not be able to get replacement pieces for. I'll be watching this thread in hopes of hearing something definitive. Now to me, mask nirvana would be a decapitated Twilight compatible with Bella Loops. Where's the inventors when a good idea pops into mind?
