WebMD on vaseline and your nose:
Petroleum-based moisturizers like Vaseline are not advised for another reason, says Cazabon. "People who apply a lot to the nose, and wear it overnight, can aspirate it into their lungs, which can lead to problems like an abscess," he tells WebMD. "I don't want to be an alarmist, but you don't want a foreign substance in your lungs. Using a little within reason is fine, but many doctors prefer patients use water-based creams."

Hey Lisa just curious....have you adjusted to the light whooshing sound of air in your NA tubes? When I first began using mine last June I decided it was my personal "soothing environmental white noise machine" and thought of waves at the ocean......(or in my case Lake Erie lol) Before I got the right sized prongs (large) it was more like a loud cacaphony of Niagara Falls because the small prongs made such a ruckous with leaking between my nares and the prongs! My dme thought that the smaller ones would be less noticable probably but it was just the opposite! Good fit is important. Terry

You really have to be careful not to inhale the lid off the jar, it will settle in your lungs and the the moisture from the HH will cause rust to form in your lungs. I make sure I set the lid on the table in the other room, just so I'm safe. You never know! Jim
