Wowza!!! What a wicked cluster last night....40 events in 30 minutes with an AHI of 82!!! Went to bed super exhausted...took my daughter to Comicon.

Wow, Kenwood! Were you actually asleep? I know, sometimes when I'm just getting settled and falling asleep, but not quite completely out, I have extra events. Of course, nothing like that! But, I wasn't anywhere near the AHI you had, either! Last night, I had extra hypopneas and flow limitations when I would try to turn over because I was having severe pain in my hip and it hurt like crazy to move, so I would instinctively hold my breath or maybe I was barely breathing. I'm sure that is what the machine was picking up on. It also tagged a central that I'm sure was just me holding my breath while I tried to deal with the pain. Gotta remember to breathe! That many OA's does seem rather odd, though.

I always fall asleep quickly....and last night I was exhausted from walking around all day at Comicon with my daughter. I was already falling asleep on the couch watching TV. Sometimes.....you just have a bad night after so many boring nights in a row.

This morning, I was looking over the last couple weeks of Sleephead charts and this day caught my attention. I've never seen my flow rate go to almost ZERO before.....Any ideas? What's even more bizarre, this was my 2nd lowest AHI night ever!

Not sure what might have caused this anomaly. I would think a comparison of Encore wave form (up close in the wave form graphs) and really zoomed in on SH flow graph to show each breath during that 5 minute timeline might be in order if there is real concern here.

Yeah, that's what I was looking for....really weird flow there. Doesn't make any logical sense to me as to what happened.
I have never seen anything like that. That's an awfully long time for there to be such a minimal flow.
Makes me wonder if the sensors were some how not functioning properly.
I don't know what to make of it. Maybe some sort of artifact????

Did your wife put the pillow over your face?

Hot damn, time for a party. I'll bring the beer.

Congratulations. Those 0.0 nights have been really elusive for me I have had a handful in 4 years..lots of 1 or 2 events total all night but not many zeros.

I've been flirting with really low under under 0.50 AHI numbers the last couple weeks....with several in the 0.15 range - which meant one event. But the zero shocked me when I was looking at my last weeks worth of reports

Well, this Friday, Sept 6th is my Total Thyroidectomy Surgery. I’m very nervous. I have a massive goiter on BOTH sides of my thyroid that has been slowly crushing my trachea. I started to notice when I checked my blind spots while driving, my ability to breath was greatly reduced. I’ve had these goiters for over 5 years now. But they have seriously growth this year to the point where I went back to see an Endo and then referred to an ENT for surgery. My Endo Doctor says it’s the biggest goiters he has ever seen. The CAT scan shows the trachea at my thyroid is now only 8mm (should be around 25mm) in diameter – so its been reduced in size by two-thirds. My breathing ability has been greatly reduced and sometimes is very uncomfortable. I have to be careful eating. My ENT had to special order an intubation tube to fix down my throat. So my surgery is a high-risk surgery and they might only be able to do a partial Thyroidectomy, depending on the extent of the damage done to my trachea. If its too crushed and soft, they will need to let the trachea heel and firm up or it would collapse. ENT says I will be in the ICU overnight and a day or two in a normal hospital room after I get out of ICU.
