I just now created a new patient in ResScan. I downloaded the SD card data and I only have detailed data for the last 30 days. Past that it is summary only. So the oldest detailed is written over on the SD card at the 30 days mark. I don't know why I was thinking 7 days. Maybe I dreamed it.
Is there a way to keep the machine from overwriting the detail data that is over 30 days old on the SD card?
While it probably isn't that big of a deal to me personally and I know those old graphs are unlikely to be needed or wanted by a DME or doctor...some of us do like to have access to all that old detailed data and those graphs.
Computers fail...need a new install of everything...software gets messed up...need a new install....we buy a new computer and would like to have all that old data available just in case.

Re: Request for Resmed SD Card feature
High resolution data is held for 7 days - this is this is time series data that is collected at high data rates, typically 25 imes a second (25 Hz). For S9 CPAPs and APAPs that's flow rate data - for some of the S9 specialised models (VPAP, ASV etc) it may cover some other data as well.Pugsy wrote:I don't know why I was thinking 7 days. Detailed data (other than high resolution data) is held for 30 days - this is time series data that is collected at low data rates, typical in terms of second or minutes
Summary data is held for 360 days - this is aggregated data for a whole sleep session.
Cheers,

in terms of high def data... there is simply not enough memory in the machine to keep it... it's like using a computer without a hard disk... you can keep some files in the RAM but eventually you will run out space, the SD Card is required to keep all the High Definition data...
High resolution data (like flow rate graph) after 7 days... it gets overwritten.
Other detail data the SD card doesn't keep forever either on the SD card...it gets overwritten after 30 days.
Summary data....a year
So I am not really wanting to keep all that on the machine's internal storage (but it would be nice not to lose it all if I leave the card out of the machine one night). What I would like is for the software to leave the old data alone on the SD card and not overwrite anything. The SD cards certainly have the capacity to hold it and if they get full...they are cheap to buy.

Can you tell me more about this? Is this why he doesn't use the summary file in SH? No guarantee I can help but I'll try, but it would be good to know just where in the data extraction and interpretation process he's having a problem. Thanks.Otter wrote:But Mark has run into some trouble trying to use data from the summary files. If you can sort that for him I'm sure he'd appreciate it. All of us who use both an S9 and SleepyHead would too.

Re: Request for Resmed SD Card feature
I can reasonably assume that your clinical people define what data is required to be saved, but what I am wondering is what other data Resmed may have available, for example data which shows the "health" of the machine, like power consumed by the blower motor, or wattage/temperature of the humidifier or climateline.
I don't really know, but perhaps trends in this kind of non clinical data might help us to understand if we are changing filters often enough, or other things that might help us keep our machines running at peak efficiency.
