SINGING & Digideroo THERAPY

Post by ROMAX » Mon Feb 25, 2013 10:10 pm

Has anyone ever heard of singing or digideroo therapy? And if so does it work?

Thanks!

Only as a waste of time and money, for people in De-Nile, that dont care to get better Jim

Useful a few times a month for promoting products to suckers with sleep apnea, that dont know any better.

Therapy in name alone. Only benefits the persons of questionable character who promote it as a "cure".
Utilized as a delaying tactic (by those in denial), like the thirteen glasses of water a kid asks for because
he's not ready to go to bed. Use the machine, and you won't have to get up 13 times a night to "see a man about a horse".

As one who has gone through h-ll in trying to adjust to cpap treatment to no avail in spite of having the "right" attitude, I don't understand the hostility to alternative treatments. Yes, as I have found out with investigating dental appliances, you have to do your homework big time.

But to flat out dismiss them as claiming someone wants to avoid the cpap is just wrong. And if they do, so what? What ever happened to respecting individual choice?

Oh and by the way, there is a small scale study on the the apnea support site that shows playing the digideroo has potential in getting the apnea down. In a small group of people, it did reduce the AHI from 21 to 10. Not ideal but if someone with a mild case couldn't tolerate any other treatment, there would certainly be no harm in trying.

I just despise the fact that exploring alternatives on this board has become an issue of flawed character and morality and not having the right attitude. Personally, I greatly looked forward to the cpap machine and had none of the concerns that people have expressed about it. But as I have jokingly said to people, the machine seems to hate me even though I like it.

Just my two cents.

It's that weird sound on the Outback Steakhouse commercials. Australia's answer to the bagpipe. It doesn't bite, but it does attract shoes and rotten tomatoes.
When in doubt, open the case. Remember: If you can't open it, you don't own it!

Prescribed APAP range - 6-10 cm/H2O, titrated at 8.
Current range - 9.0-11.5 cm/H2O - still searching for the magic "zero night" but averaging 2.2 AHI
