Ric,
I would say that Bill and I are serious about a Respironics Users Group.
I think it is fair to say we believe that manufacturers have up until now, been responding to DMEs and medical professionals rather than paying attention to the plebs who actually strap the gear on (what would they know ???). This is certainly our impression (right Bill?).
For me, the manufacturers do need to be in touch with the people using their equipment & Bill inspired me to come up with the idea of a Respironics Users Group (in particular).
I believe it could work if people like Bill (and my humble self ) and others, are willing to put time effort (and money) into looking at how xPAP gear works in the real world of us.
This idea needs support. If we get it from others here, we an grow it. If not we will remain frustrated voices in the wilderness.
Cheers
DSM
xPAP and Quattro std mask (plus a pad-a-cheek anti-leak strap)

Absolutely! It's just the way the industry is structured. The actual customers of the equipment are physicians and DME's. Respironics rarely interfaces with the end users, apparently not even in warranty situations as those are handled through the DME's.
A user's group has the real potential for allowing changes desirable to users but unknown to physicians and DME's to get incorporated into the machines.
Regards,
Bill
