I fell 12 feet and broke my c-6. Thank God it my vertebrae was not displaced and I am not cripled. I suffered a concussion and lost my memory of the accident. I now suffer from severe sleep apnae. I use a bi-pap, which helps alot, but still suffer from extreme fatigue and take a long nap everyday. whats up?, it is very discouraging. I grew up loving the morning, but now take a couple of hours to get moving and feeling alert. I srongly believe there is a connection.

Always remember there are a LOT of things that can lead to sleepiness. High blood glucose levels (diabetes) is one of the more common causes. Stress can burn you out just as surely as putting too much voltage into a light bulb. Sure, it will burn brighter. But then it burns out.

Though I do not doubt that the brain concussion can lead to sleep apnea and other sleep issues, remember the old diagnostic phrase "If you hear hoof beats, think horses, not zebras!". Why? Well, if it is blood glucose levels, or stress, those should be treated/managed first. Once your eliminated all else, then hunt for the zebras. And often it takes a LOT more to get other issues under control.

Just some food for thought ...
