EncorePro 2 - "the patient on the card does not exist. . .

Post by snoozecruze » Sun Feb 24, 2013 1:21 am

Hello,

I getting an error in EncorePro 2 "the patient on the card does not exist in the system"

When I do a download preview I get:

Patient Name:
Device Model: Unit Model not supported in this version : 560P
Serial number: PB0771. . .

So the patient name on the card is blank and I can't create a patient in the SW with no name.

Is there a way around this?

Sounds like you aren't using a version that is compatible with the 60 series machine.

It was Encore 2.2. Spent hrs figuring out how to install it only find out it won't read my data.
Next time I'm talking to my homecare specialist, I will ask what SW he is using.

I got Sleepyhead up and running and reading my data, so am happy for the moment.

I'm all new to this stuff. Have only been using CPAP for a month now

That's a bit too philosophical for me. I'd stick with SleepyHead.

Version 2.2 is not compatible with the 560 or any 60 series machine.

Version 2.5 was the first version (and I think there have been a couple of minor changes after that) that would work with the 60 series machines...those only came out last spring. Version 2.2 is at least a couple of years old.

EncoreBasic will work and I quite using Pro when I discovered Basic offered the same reports.

Be sure to read the Help section because it tells you how to use the software.

EncoreGuide link this will show you examples of what you will see. For a different machine than yours but the basics are the same.

About Encore Pro....when the 60 series machines was released last spring they updated Pro to version 2.5 to be compatible with the new machines. They also released EncoreBasic at the same time. Basic is a slimmed down (22 MB vs over 300 MB Pro) version. It was still designed for DMEs and doctors office but they removed the SQL database hog and Basic doesn't care if you have a 32 or 64 bit computer. Basic is slimmed down in size but they didn't change the reports. Mainly the changes were with improved slimmed down office type of stuff...nothing that impacted the reports at all.
I installed both to compare the reports on my PR S1 BiPap. They are identical with the only drawback to Basic is that the only waveform graph that is available for viewing is the most recent download. Not a big deal...if someone just has to have every single one of their waveform graphs..just download daily and save as PDF on the computer.

The original first Pro version release to be compatible with the new 60 machines was 2.5...and then it was changed with the release of new ASV version and there were a couple of version changes (I didn't keep up with each small change) and now Respironics has done something weird with the version numbers...they went backwards. Version 2.11 is now the latest Pro version that I am aware of.

Pro has always been problematic. About 1 in 5 failed installs or people reporting some sort of problem (from the ones I have had contact with). Basic is much less problematic mainly due to the absence of the hog SQL database. There are still separate versions for 32 or 64 bit computers if someone wants Pro. There's nothing to be gained by using Pro other than old wave form graphs are available with Pro except some possible headaches and frustrations.
I don't know if Pro 2.11 is going to be compatible with the older machines using the Smart cards. There was some talk of no longer supporting the older machines last August. They may have done this with 2.11. I no longer have a Smart card and DT 3500 card reader or machine to test it. Basic still supports the older machines.

Thanks Pugsy for the good info.

I download an apparently patched version of Sleepyhead that was patched for my 560 machine. Well I was able to view data ok then. But what I noticed afterward when I got EncoreBasic up and running, was that the AHI numbers were showing higher in Sleepyhead and weren't real at all. So I'm gonna stick with EncoreBasic, its enough for me.

Would you do me a favor and check your machine's settings for Mask Resistance control and tell me what it is set at?

Hi
I am a new user so please bear with me ...

I was using Encore Pro 2 , to check my sleeping data .... but today after long time when I ve tried to check , the following message appears....

The card is detected [ E:\-Compatible card detected ] but when I highlight that , the following message appears

Unknown failure reading media

Unit model not supported in this version :561P

Serial no: P109168....

I think its because recently the device was changed by my doctor with the newer model and Encore Pro 2 is not compatible with the newer model

Do I need newer version of Encore ? , if so please guide me from where I can download ?

I have windows 7 64 bit and windows XP Pro 32 bit

Your help would be highly appreciated

The wonderful, free SleepyHead is soooooo much better than encore! And encore pro installs a lot of crap that you don't need like the microsoft database manager.

Please install SleepyHead - see Pugsy's posts at the very top of the forum. You won't look back.

Like everybody else says: Sleepyhead.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
