I don't think anyone gets a sealed unit from the factory. I have gotten 3 different brand new machines. All were touched by some grubby tech's hands to input the setting

Sleep loss is a terrible thing. People get grumpy, short-tempered, etc. That happens here even among the generally friendly. Try not to take it personally.

It could have been a mistake. I don't care, and was pleased anyway. They also included the clinician's manual. You could say that by providing less service they made me a happy customer. I don't see it exactly that way, though.

Update: Just spoke with my tech and let him hear the machine over the phone and he said its not normal! Yah! We turn off the A-flex and put it to straight Cpap and it was still making the noise. I told him the noise is on the inhale and he said if anything the machine should sound different on the exhale NOT the inhale. So I should be getting a replacement on monday. Hope this info helps you guys out. I will update you guys once I get the new machine. Thanks everyone.

Got my new machine last night and its more quiet than the previous one for sure. Still hear sound on the inhale but its a lot less! Thanks everyone!

I have a PR series 1 mod 760 with heated humidifier and hose. Run in auto numbers are 8 to 20. I sleep light enough to hear a mouse missing on cotton the only noise comes from mask. New machine got end of Jan.
Have dme check machine.
