Leak question

Post by Annabelle » Fri Feb 15, 2013 4:06 pm

What exactly does the Sleepyhead leak graph measure? Is it mask leaks (I use nasal pillows) or leaks if my mouth opens? I'm a nose breather but I think my mouth gets forced open from the pressure some nights. The first week or so there was not a lot of leaking, but there has been more this past week. Thanks!

Annabelle, the leak graph will reflect both mask leaks and mouth leaks. My mouth leaks generally caused bigger spikes on my leak graph than my nasal pillow mask leaks.

S9 shows unintentional leak (mask leak plus mouth leak)
chinstrap may help minimize mouth leaks
anything below 24 L/min is acceptable
