Hello all,
I have been using my cpap machine now for just over a month and other then some soreness issues that have fixed by pad a cheek (http://www.padacheek.com) I love it and am sleeping so much better. My question is this. I am a boyscout leader and we camp every month usually for the just the weekend (I will have electricity supplied to me at summer camp) at most camps I will not have access to electricity and I wanted to order one of these puresleep anti snoring mouth pieces to use while camping as an alternative to the cpap machine when I can not get access to electricity. I am thinking that it is better than nothing. What are your thoughts on this?
Thanks,
Joe

Battery backup!
Most xPAP machines can run on a battery. Batteries can be heavy, though. There is new technology in the form of LiOn (lithium ion) batteries that are MUCH lighter, but they are EXPENSIVE! (They are also the battery technology that currently has the Boeing Dreamliner grounded, but that's most likely related to how they are used).
I use one of those car jumper packs that one charges and can (theoretically) jump start a car with, but instead of jump starting a car, I use it to power my xPAP.

Sleep loss is a terrible thing. People get grumpy, short-tempered, etc. That happens here even among the generally friendly. Try not to take it personally.
