Right after my surgery I made some Mac and Cheese. It took a bit to realize that i had actually fully mixed in the cheese because one eye saw different colors and magnification than the other. It looked like the cheese was still mostly on the outside edge of the sauce pan till I closed one eye.

I was tempted to readjust the colors on my TV the first night, but I wasn't sure which eye was seeing the correct colors. It took a day or two for the corrected eye to see the colors and contrast that I was accustomed too

You weren't one of the ultraviolet dudes, were you?
Former Air Force Officer and engineer Alek Komar has spent a considerable amount of time detailing how his color vision changed following major cataract surgery. Cataracts are known to have a detrimental effect on color perception, but in Komar’s case, he didn’t just regain his old acuity: The Crystalens implant he received has given him the ability to see into the ultraviolet spectrum.--http://www.extremetech.com/computing/11 ... ring-color
Pugsy, let your man know that he may get super-powers!

I only see the effects of UV when I use a black light That's interesting though. The Crystalens is the accommodating lens that I wanted, but couldn't get due to my astigmatism. Looks like maybe I'm better off without them.

Pugsy... you'd better get full makeup on right away. Your hubby will be able to see things he's never seen before!

Glad it's over!

Oh no, I'm in trouble. I need my hair done (roots especially) and my girl had to cancel last week (now trying to find a new shop). It may get ugly around here. He's the first one to mention the "skunk" hair with the white strip.

Pugsy, we're the same age -- it's time to read "Going Gray" and let your natural beauty shine through!

Nope, ain't going to happen...again. I tried it for 6 months couple of years ago. Ugly. My white hair is not pretty and everyone hated it including my husband. I really was hoping it would work out but it was awful looking.
I have decided I am going to be like my mom (80 years old and still colors her hair because she tried going natural and hated it too) and just keep coloring it.

Pugsy,

Glad your hubby is doing well after surgery. I'm with you on the not going gray - my roots are showing & I have an appt next week. My hairdresser is a friend on mine who has promised me if I die, she will come to the funeral home & make sure they don't bury me with my roots showing. I know that sounds really dumb, but I don't want to go to the afterlife with roots! If I let mine go, they are an ugly shade of salt & pepper, tried once for several months & had to avoid mirrors they were so bad. Now its a 6 wks appt for me.

Hope hubby continues to do well!
Jen
