Except that women have babies and that is a big killer right there. I believe the stats in Africa for childbirth attended only by relatives is that 1 in 36 women die from complications. The Grandmother advantage is that she was an experienced and trustworthy alternate caregiver for the children.DreamStalker wrote: I was thinking that perhaps one reason for the Grandmother Advantage may be that men have historically been exposed to more potential trauma than women and therefore aren't around long enough to contribute as grandfathers.

I suppose that adds to it too. With the mothers risk in giving birth hedged by having the grandmother to take over the offspring, the grandfathers really don't have much of a chance for any kind of an advantage huh?BlackSpinner wrote:Except that women have babies and that is a big killer right there. President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

I think the grandfather advantage didn't fully blossom until the age of baseball games and rodeo...DreamStalker wrote: I suppose that adds to it too. I think everyone does the best they can.
My current theory is get your daily recommended veggies first, 2.5 cups if you are older and 1.5 cups of fruit, avoid processed foods and walk as much as possible. If you can eat that much produce and still be hungry, then go you. That's a lot of food especially when you add protein and grains. It is expensive but I belong to a produce co-op and that makes it affordable for me.
My BF has lost 70lbs doing this and now that I'm on CPAP, I've dropped 8lbs in 2 weeks, not even trying or walking at all.
Gotta learn to love those veggies. Some of course is my body healing with CPAP, but some is just eating the good stuff.
Prior to my Apnea DX, I'm also a bit fired up still at a Dr that told me I'd have so much more energy if I would just work harder and lose some weight. I had been walking 6 miles twice a week and had my calories at 1500. But they think you are lying.
