I spent my evening looking for information on this exact same subject! I have the Mirage FX, but not happy with it, so looking at alternatives. The Wisp is high on my list. The two things that I found: the hose can be run up over the head instead of hanging down or to the side only and also the the exhaled air looks like it will be more diffused and not near as noticeable as with the Mirage FX.

Hi Debi:

I'm satisfied with the Mirage FX, except for four small factors. Why are you NOT satisfied with the Mirage ? My second and third choices, since I've not tried the Whisp, are the Activa and the old Comfort Classic (Respironics).

I just can't fall in love wit it....about the time I feel we have bonded, I loose a nights sleep. I have only been on Cpap for 2 weeks, so I am NO expert! I wear glasses, and so between the mask and my glasses, the topic my nose is irritated. Plus, if I want to look at something on the machine at night, i have to just hold my glasses up to my eyes and hope to see my target, I can't put them on, if that makes any sense. At times, it sounds like a leak around the exhalation holes, and there is always air blowing out, so sometimes it feels like a leak. I got a hose holder and was thrilled and thought that was the solution, it was for one night. I made a mask liner, and that was great for one night. At times it feels like my face is numb in the mornings from the mask pressing on it. Last night I tried keeping everyone really loose, that was fine on my back, but not my side.

So, i will make it work, but will not get another one. Yikes, I sound like a crazy woman
