I got a list of DME providers that take my insurance (In Network) .... once I meet with my Sleep Doctor and get a prescription I'm going to go the the one that is nearest my house and ask if they can get this for me. I have no problem in taking the management of my plan into my own hands. Once I know what my insurance plan covers .... like how many masks how often, filters, hoses, etc I'll make sure to order them as I need them. I'm sure my closest DME will be willing to send me stuff on a schedule (or should I say have them ready for pickup)

If I want to try a new mask then I'll order it from a place like cpap.com and that one will likely be on me. My main goal is to get used to a machine, use it all the time, ACTUALLY MISS IT WHEN I DON'T USE IT .... and feel better.

Fred

and... get a comfortable mask that doesn't leak. You probably meant that when you said, "get used to the machine...". Be sure the dme will allow you to return the mask within 30 days for an exchange. Have them help you adjust the mask and hook up a display cpap machine (set at your pressure). Lie on the floor and roll around and see what the leak rate looks like. Best of luck... Sheriff

I could have used you when I had the experience from h-ll with my first sleep doctor.
