sleepyhead software and the sd card

Post by knightlite » Tue Jan 15, 2013 5:57 am

I have the ds460 for the last 35 days. Newbie to cpap. Downloaded sleepyhead v0.9.2-1 beta .
question:will sleepyhead erase my sd card when I read it? Don't want dme people to get mad at me if that happens . preparing for my compliance 90 day dr. visit , don't want to screw that up .
Question: will this version read my resp ds460 , or do I have to add a patch or something ?
Is there an internal date on this machine ? I don't see any place to set a time . At least on the outside display!
Should I just wait until my 90 day check to fool with sd card?
My md doesn't have a reader-- the plan is to have dme print out summary so the md can give me the cursory medicare required face to face visit --- okay you are using it ! It will fall just right for my regular dr visit

You have to do the 60 series patch to get your data. See this thread.

No, there is nothing in SleepyHead that will let you do anything to the SD card or your machine. If you erase the SD card you would have to make a special effort to do so.

Now EncoreBasic software does have a box to check for either erasing the SD card after the download or leaving the SD card alone because it is to be returned to the patient.
Your doctor may not understand SleepyHead but should be familiar with Encore reports.

Look in Uncle Bob's signature line for Encore information.

Be sure to read the Help section because it tells you how to use the software.

EncoreGuide link this will show you examples of what you will see. For a different machine than yours but the basics are the same.

None that you can get to. There is an internal clock/calendar set to GMT time. SleepyHead let's you adjust the time zone though.
EncoreBasic pulls the time off the computer clock.
So there is really no need to worry about date or time. Can't do anything about it anyway.

There's no need to wait. Even if you accidentally messed up the SD card the machine stores all the data that your doctor might need or want in its internal memory and will put it back on a blank card.
The wave form flow rate graphs aren't saved though. The SD card must be in the machine to get those data files. Most DMEs and doctors won't even bother looking at waveform graphs anyway.

There's no way that the DME will know that you looked at the data unless you tell them or change something.

Thanks for the good info ! I installed the sleepyhead program and the patch. It works great .
Now I have to understand why my rera is so high . Only on it for 35 days so I will learn for the next 60 days ! I have tried the temp apap on the ds460 . I seem to do better on cpap . Better try to stay the course and see if my ahi gets better with time 3to 4 isn't too bad but hopefully I can get it under 1 someday.
