cpap supplies at truck stops?

Post by Denial Dave » Fri Dec 28, 2012 6:40 pm

has anyone checked out the tip at the top of the page?

12/27/12 Retail CPAP Products Available in Travel Centers of America

Looks like we may be able to go to truck stops and some retail shops for machine filters, hoses, etc..

Before you know it, Walmart will be selling CPAP supplies too....

paging Aisle 2.... we need more S9 filters & climate line hoses!

Has a truck driver I think it is great that it has started..The government is really coming down hard on the driver with new&stricter guideline's..A over-the-road truck driver stay's out on the road a long time.So this give's the driver away of getting supplies out on the road.People need to wake-up..With out the truck driver you wouldn't have your cpap supplies. This country would shut down if all the driver's decided to stop working for 3 day's..A week would shut down this country.Just Saying..

I'm quite sure that truck stops will not handle insurance so you will most likely pay full retail for all supplies, I imagine that the only supplies available will be basic tubing and filters. I can't believe that they would carry a full line of cushions and pillows. What other supplies would they carry? I don't believe this will be wide spread.

Bravo for Travel Centers of America. This sounds like a great idea.

Wonder if you have to provide a copy of your perscription to buy a machine or mask?

Read the article...They are only carrying Tubing, filters and chinstraps.

"Products including CPAP Filters, Tubing and Chinstraps will be available at Travel Centers of America and Petro Stopping Centers Stores across the country beginning in January 2013."
Fixed pressure at 11

My relatives travel all over the US, they can reach a LinCare practically anywhere. (O2, anyone?)
I see Apria has a travel program where they will forward your RX to an office at your destination.
(service not available for non-Apria customers)

Well it's a start. Who knows who will stock CPAP supplies next, Walmart or Target?
