Post by NateS » Wed Dec 26, 2012 1:10 pm

For anyone lacking a built-in SD card reader slot in their computer, this may be an ideal solution:

Transcend P5 9-in-1 USB 2.0 Flash Memory Card Reader TS-RDP5K (Black) $6.49

[Compatible with the following cards without the need for an adapter]: SD, SDHC, microSDHC, MMC, MMCplus, MMCmobile, RS-MMC, microSD, TransFlash, Memory Stick Micro]

Nate, what's the diff with this Kodak card reader for $7 at Amazon?

Both readers have a LED lighted bulb showing when data is unlaoded
thru it by flickering:

You can also buy cheaper ones on ebay for $1 shipped. Don't know how they're able to make any money off of them.

I use a USB 3.0 card reader. Faster transfer speeds when you are dumping a lot of photos from cameras. But you also must have a USB 3 port on computer. Extra speed is useless for CPAP machine though.

It's probably fine except that it looks like it would crowd out use of any ports to the left or the right on a laptop.
p.s. do you buy my reason for your and other ASV machines not to show left over (untreated) Central Apnea events in the Events graph
because it would indicate that the machine has not done a good job to treat all of them fully?
I don't know. Did you read idamtnboy at viewtopic.php?f=1&t=74249&p=682719&hilit=central+asv#p682719 ??

I think most of the large chain stores that sell digital cameras (Target, Wal-mart, et al.) have inexpensive USB SD card readers in-store for $5-7. These have become somewhat ubiquitous stock items. I bought mine at Target for $4.50 about a month ago.
