Brain Damage and Lumosity

Post by TheUglyTruth » Fri Dec 14, 2012 8:00 pm

Hey, when I searched the site for "brain damage", there were 7,000 hits - https://www.google.com/search?q=brain+d ... =firefox-a

So it looks like many of you think you were damaged by waiting so long to get CPAP.

Well I also feel my memory was damaged. So now a friend told me about http://www.lumosity.com/ . I just did day two of the free three-day trial and it is a bit of fun.

I am wondering when my trial is complete whether I will pay to continue. I would like to see if my scores improve over time. It would be nice to be a f***ing genius again like I was in my youth.

What do you think? Is it worth it?

Anybody here already subscribed? Want to do the trial and see what you think?

I am not a spammer. If you tell me lumosity is a sh** program, that's fine.

There have been studies done that show it does not e.g. stave off Alzheimer's and won't make you a genius. It might improve your speed or concentration for the tests, but not a lot else. I played with it, but didn't pay and won't.

If you are terribly bored and want to throw a few dollars away.

It's a living for them.
Not a cure.

Try Cricklers, its free, and a type of crossword that advances as you get better at it. When I found it 2 years ago, it took me about an hour to finish all the questions, now it only takes less than 20 minutes. I use it as my brain wake-up every morning with my first cup of coffee.
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.
