First night/nap using chin strap - still drooling

Post by Chikorita » Wed Dec 05, 2012 8:19 pm

I've been getting mouth leaks and drooling so I ordered a chin strap.
Had a great sleep and woke up refreshed which was brilliant.

Had a little extra two hour snooze this morning and woke up drooling.
It appears that the drooling problem only really happens when I nap.

Has anyone experienced this?
Or am I still drooling at night but it dries so I don't notice?

I'll still drool with a chinstrap once in a while. I get minor air leaks through the night because I don't like to tighten it down too much.

But overall, the chin strap does work for me. It would be much worst without.

I'm thinking the drool only requires a small opening in the lips whereas if air comes out the mouth then the lips are fully open. Am I right? Trying to understand how drool happens.

Are you sleeping on your side? Drool almost impossible if you are a back sleeper. If you feel good the heck with the drool. Possible ideas would be recent dental work?

Yes, always on my side/stomach. No recent dental work thankfully. I do feel pretty good but not 100%. I'm thinking I'll never feel fabulous on the mornings.
