The cool thing about DIY 3D printing is that if you want it, you can have it--to hell with the market!
One-off items can be made in the basement or garage, with no thought of marketing, demand, etc.
Just like in the old days.
Kenneth; there are no "millions' to be made. We already know that it's not a big number item.
Big ticket price would doom it at the very beginning. I want one; maybe that's all.

When mine isn't dry, I take out on the front porch. Hold one end and whirl it around a few times. Poof, its dry.

Plus it amuses the neighborhood kids.

If you are going to use a humidifier, what difference does it make if the hose is not dry? It will be before long.

If you insist on drying it, tie a small weight on the end of a string over 6 feet long, and tie a small piece of towel on the other end. Drop the wieght in the hose and pull the towel through. Just make sure it is a lint-free towel.

OK, call me an alarmist, obsessive - whatever.... but IMHO a hose which never dries out properly could be a breeding ground for Legionella, which is a naturally occurring bacteria only causing problems where there is constantly warm, moist air.

In fact someone posted a news article on this very subject, with a young man dying from Legionnaire's disease following a sleep study where the humidifier tank on the XPAP he was titrated on, was only ever topped up, never washed and let dry.

Yes, tubing takes many days to dry - mine hang on a hook in a spare bedroom wall after washing and I use a back up one. If I need to use the hose before it's dry, I use a hair dryer.

Cheers,
xena

Critical considerations from the Parallel Universe:

Does your hose hang low? Does it wobble to and fro?
Can you tie it in a knot? Can you tie it in a bow?
Can you throw it over your shoulder like a Continental soldier?
Does your hose hang low?

May your day be merry and bright; and may all your hoseses be dry!
Alas, it's too late to be homecoming queen.

If worried about it or for the luxury of easy/quick drying and if $149 isn't too much to bear, search for Hurricane Dryer on cpap.com. Has a nozzle you hook the hose to.

Dreamers and Inventors are one thing...snake oil salesmen and scammers are another. It's becoming more difficult to tell the difference.

That's my method also, and no, it doesn't take days to dry! I think it's all overhyped. If you want to dry it go ahead but I'm not, nor am I washing the hose and I may not do more than wipe down my nasal pillows every week or two and I don't wash the humidifier tank either, but I do empty my tank daily and let it air dry.

I actually used the hair dryer set on medium heat and full air last night with my Swift FX and short hose after soaking it in a baby shampoo bath and hot rinsing late in the evening as I forgot to do it earlier.

No ill effects or excess water problems whatsoever when I went to use it about an hour later for the night.

Even if I don't let my hose dry completely I always do the final rinse out with distilled water and give it a spin. Then I hook it back up to the S9 and use it that night. It's dry in no time at all. Why would anyone need a special device to dry out a hose. Seems like overkill to me or just another way to scare the germaphobes into buying another useless gadget..
