The S9 machines now use a little SD card..about the size of a postage stamp. Same thing with the new PR S1 machines.
No special card readers are needed unless your computer doesn't have a slot for the SD card and even then a cheap generic card reader/adapter will work. No more high priced name band card readers needed.

I don't know which F & P model he was referring to...Either the Icon or the SleepStyle and the Icon uses Infosmart and the other one uses Performance Maximizer. I wasn't aware that either was supplied with the machines.
They are both big royal PITA to install and use though. Data isn't as comprehensive and that with the PITA factor...I wouldn't want one if someone gave it to me if I wanted to evaluated the data. Since I am kind of a data hound it would be a deal breaker for me.

Just as soon get everything you want up front.

I wonder if they've changed the way the humidifiers are packaged? I just got one 2 weeks ago, and it came with a tub that opens up into two pieces, cleans easily. Newbies might be able to save some $$ up front nowadays by waiting to see what comes with their package....

I was wondering what your sleep doctor thought of your Zeo results. My primary had never heard of it. See the ENT sleep doc next week and was wondering if he will take it seriously.
I am hoping for an in home sleep study, to get better results if that is possible. I don't know if you need a lab to get the info they will need, but being at home would be a better analysis I would think.

Thanks for all the comments. After reading all of the posts doing a little more research, and talking with the DME - I am getting the S9 Autoset (provided there is no problem with insurance - shouldn't be, but they ALWAYS make me nervous). I am pretty sure that I also told her I wanted the climate-line hose. She basically said she was going to "Fix me up" with everything (which I believe since my insurance pays 100%). Yet to be seen, but Im being optimistic and will find out next Thursday. Once I get it home, I am giving one of my M-Series Auto to my brother as a replacement/back-up for his older machine.

After showing the doc the Zeo report, he seemed impressed and quite interested. He was going to do some research on it, as he had never heard of it either. Seems that only us hoseheads know about or keep up with new types of equipment and/or sofware. That is one of so many reasons I love this forum!

Again, Thanks to everyone for their comments and Suggestions.

This has already been said, but I wanted to repeat it for anyone else lurking to read - DO NOT GET THE F&P ICON!!! To get the software, you have to buy it from an obscure website for $88, then have to do some not very legit 'tricks' to get it to work after 30 days. F&P won't stand behind the software because they say users are not supposed to have the software, only clinicians, drs & sleep labs.

This scenario is bull, so for anyone thinking the ICON looks neat on the nightstand, that is its only function - to look pretty. Yeah, it does put out air at the required pressure (straight CPAP only), but does not have any redeeming features.

Sorry to repeat what has been said, just wanted to say it from the side of a very dissatisfied user.
Jen

Yes, all of the water tubs now DO open up for easier cleaning.

But, if it opens up into only 2 pieces, it is the one that is supposedly not dishwasher safe.
The dishwasher safe one opens up into 3 pieces.

I think it is Archangle who dishwashes everything & it does not seem to hurt anything.

But, I still prefer the dishwasher safe tub because of where the Max fill marker is located.
I use a small funnel to put water in mine while it is still in the humidifier (shame on me!) and the funnel blocks the view of the Max fill marker on the one that is not dishwasher safe.

I don't have that problem with the dishwasher safe tub.
