If I don't use strap and collar, more often than not I wake up having had my mouth drop open for a percentage of the night. This ALWAYS leads to a next bad day. And I'm sooo tired of that happening that I will continue to use both. I don't have any problem with comfort, I have a tremendous problem with feeling crappy.
I totally understand Sylvie and kudos to you for doing what you do to get a good night's rest. I think you win the award for wearing the most items to bed:)
Just to clarify what I said previously, I am so tired when I go to sleep that in spite of the discomfort from the neck collar, I fall asleep very quickly. But when I wake up prematurely, I absolutely hate having it on.
But after all is said and done, if wearing a neck collar with a full face mask seems to be my best option, than that is what I will have to wear. I just feel that since comfort is such a big issue in being able stay sleep on the machine, I need to explore alternatives to ff masks. Perhaps even though I am falling asleep quickly, the discomfort could be waking me up. Or it could be something else, who knows?
To be continued.
