Would a humidifier help reduce leaks?

Could the use of an S9™ Series H5i™ Heated Humidifier with Climate Control reduce leaks? Also,I live in the desert and wonder if the optional heated hose would be necessary?

I'm thinking the humidifier will not cause or reduce leaks. It will help you if you live in a dry climate, as you mentioned. The volumn of air the cpap machine generates creates all kinds of nose and mouth dryness, and the humidifier will keep these areas moist. Also, if you have sinus issues... the humidifier seems to help. Most folks at this forum use a humidifier on a nightly basis.
