Most of the time, my contacts are fine, but, occasionally one gets dried out and will fall out during the night. No problem! I talked to my eye doctor about the lenses and the Cpap and he saw no problems with it and no problems with my vision. Hope this might help someone who wears disposable lenses.
I wish I had your eye dr. Maybe mine said that because of patients like me who had problems. I would change my advice to 'check with your dr' on this subject. If you doc says sleep with contacts is OK thats a gift! I wish I could still sleep in mine.

Thanks for that link, chunkyfrog!

Suz, I appreciate your info. My symptoms sound much like yours, although not as bad - youch! But I have tried to wear contacts at 3 different points in my life and all eventually failed because my eyes are just too dry. Doctors at different times have diagnosed me as having blepharitis and also a condition where the tears bead up on my eyes rather than forming a smooth lubricating film. None of that had much effect on me (other than the contact problem) until I went on CPAP, and even then I was fine until I'd been using it for 1 1/2 years. I've tried eye patches to rule out leak issues, different pillows, etc. I guess the next step will be to re-start this conversation with whoever my new ophthalmologist ends up being, and push for the plugs. Thanks again!
